Inspiring Artist : Lisa Lynn Barth

It has been a while since I had posted on the series , Inspiring Artists.. but that is not because I have a dearth of amazing artists.. In fact, the problem is that I have too many of those... !!

Facebook is just brimming with talent and I am sure that I have not even uncovered a fraction of it...

Today I decided to feature Lisa Lynn Barth..she is an amazing artist.. her wire work is simply captivating..and she makes elements of metal clay , as well as leather elements that she dyes and also incorporates along with her spectacular wire work.. actually, the fact is that I really cannot judge which aspect of her talents I should highlight,..

Anyway I think, it is time to judge that for yourselves ..

I am sure that these images have whetted your interest.., so here is her Facebook Link . She has also authored a few books which are available on Amazon .

I am the proud owner of her book, Timeless Wire Weaving...  and I know that she has another in the works... so take a look at all her gorgeous work..

LOVE Some Art Work and Turquoise Earrings..!

I make a card for my hubby and little girl for Valentines... These days, I just love the watercolour effect and outlines with a fine liner.. they seem to work for me...

And I made a pair of earrings for myself too, for the V'day dinner.. SO i decided to photograph the two together...and here they are !!

It was a matter of just a half hour to paint the card.. and I used my trusty student's water color palette.. Soft colours and the black outlines... I find that I prefer the squiggly broken outlines than clear, pristine outlines.

Now - the earrings...barrell shaped turquoise beads . I decided to give then the royal looks with antique golden colored  findings. Since it was for Valentine's day, a touch of red with lovely rubies from Malaysia and leaf-shaped danglers.

So this was our Valentine's day special...

An Update ...

Life has been really hectic and it has been 20 days since the last post.. I have been doing a lot of assorted things, and yet not really have anything much to show for it..

Of course, my Rudraksha pieces seem to be a hit, and I made yet another bracelet and I have another one to do . There is a sort of deliberation going on with another Rudraksha necklace too..!!

To break away from the Rudraksha monologues, I took to making an earring for myself. I usually do not make custom pieces for specific clothes, but this was a coincidence, too fun, to pass up . I found two stones in a bead assortment, my sister gifted , that matched an outfit exactly !! And it was natural stone...

And, I have also been working on brushing up my calligraphy and lettering skills...
I have always loved writing, and when writing is going obsolete, I find the urge to better my skills.. it is something I have always wanted to learn, and so I have taken the plunge...
will definitely post the progress here...
